We love living in downtown Palm Springs at Villa Alejo and know you will too.
Unlike most other vacation properties in Palm Springs, this is actually our home. We live here when we aren’t hosting guests like you. So, consider the Alejo Breeze a totally different experience than a hotel. It’s like staying at your best friend’s personal condo.
Living in a genuine midcentury building can be a bit quirky, so we have taken care to make everything easy for you. You’ll find instructions and recommendations on how to use everything, upgraded air filters, humidifiers, all of our streaming services, a shower water softener, and little touches including a courtesy box to get you started if you forgot any of your own supplies. We will also be immediately available to message you about anything, big or small.

Location
Palm Springs is a downtown kind of town, and you can’t get closer to downtown than the Forester Villa at Villa Alejo.

At the corner of Indian Canyon and Alejo, just across the street from the main downtown Palm Canyon drag, where North and South Palm Springs meet. Everything you want to do in Palm Springs is just a short walk or bike ride away.
Two minutes to Koffi, the local premium coffee shop. Ten minute walk to the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Marilyn Monroe sculpture. Three minutes to the Desert Art Center, eight minutes to the Arenas gayborhood, five minutes to a dispensary, and surrounded by the Coachella Valley’s best art galleries and dining.
History
Built in 196X by famed architect X, Villa Alejo was designd as a premiere desert hotel and resort for the Hollywood elite. Featuring an impressive Briese Soleil exterior and a one-of-a-kind lush interior courtyard wih a pool and spa.
Artists including Sammy Davis Jr, and Frank Sinatra both were regulars in the penthouses, and Marilyn Monroe was famously photographed around the champagne-cork pool.
An onsite putting green and bingo lounge was the center of the social scene. The underground cement parking garage was a revolutionary first, keeping cars cool in the hot desert sun.
In the late 1970s, Villa Alejo converted to condominiums. After falling on hard times in the 90s, Villa Alejo has a new generation of owners who are actively modernizing this premium complex.
